What Makes Us Different
Most event planners make their money on commissions. Often these range from 10-15% or more of total revenue or room revenue depending on the type of event. At times the commissions are even higher due to agreements the planner has with their “preferred partners” providing them an added 5% on top of whatever commission rate you agreed to. These “side agreements” are rarely if ever disclosed to you – the client.
Meanwhile, in order to cover this added expense venues often mark up the commissions by at least 5% to cover the administration of these agreements. This means the price you – the client – receives from the venue is often 15-25% higher than what we can obtain for you. This is how we get you the very best price possible – often 15-20% or more below the lowest published prices. In addition, we can obtain some significant concessions from the venue. We work with you & the venue to make sure your event is a win win.
Our company is focused on smaller associations, non-profits & individuals that are often of little importance to the larger event planning firms. You will not be a 3rd class client with us! Our specialty may be small conferences & meetings – but we will happily find the best & most unique venues for your VIP Events, weddings, showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions or even a custom sunset sightseeing cruise with wine, cheese & me (I’ll be joining you for that one)!
We are fee based & will provide an estimate to you based on the type of event. We are surprisingly affordable! Please do ask about discounts for tax exempt non-profits!
